Jorma Laine

Little was written about Finnish jewelry artist, Jorma Laine (1930-2002). Regardless, his unique artistry is very identifiable. His abstract compositions seemingly include references to "tools" and Viking Lore. Jorma created many pieces in the Turun Hopea Workshop in the 1960s and '70s, primarily working with bronze and, more rarely, in sterling silver. Laine also designed pieces for Kultateollisuus, though production was rather limited. His contemporary style has commonly been defined as "retro" and is continually sought after.
