Earlier this summer, Nashville experienced an horrific flood which devastated the lives of many people. This news hit home locally, at Palette, for it has affected one of our artists...Rusty Wolfe. Ten feet of water flooded Rusty's gallery and studio, submerging tools, sweeping away outdoor sculptures and destroying his home and furnishings. During this time of rebuilding, "The Nashville Association of Art Dealers" is holding special flood relief art sales throughout this summer to aid artist victims. Palette would like to contribute as well; as we have several of Rusty's paintings in our gallery and images of a few more pieces that were saved from the flood waters. If you are interested in helping with Rusty's flood relief, please consider purchasing his work and Palette will contribute the entire sum of your purchase to Rusty's recovery. If you would like to help, please contact either Dawn or Kurt at Palette by phone at 505-855-7777 or via palettetoo@qwestoffice.net .
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
In March, Palette visited San Francisco for the Art International Expo. We took along several of our works by Wayne Thiebaud. Many of the art patrons were kind enough to tell us about a local bakery called Miette, that designs their cakes and displays after Thiebaud's imagery! We were delighted with their showcase which is pictured below, along with our etching of "Cake Window" by Thiebaud. For more information about Miette visit www.miette.com.
